Tell stories or parables

When reading a story or parable, the reader is invited to take part in the experience laid out by the author. The author's point can sometimes be made more easily when the reader is able to relate to characters and events. Because of this mental association with the content, the reader is likely to remember and/or be persuaded by the author's intended point or moral.
